Razorfish is an agency specializing in leveraging the power of digital media to transform business. In my role as Technical Architect I have led multidisciplinary teams on projects spanning many industries.

Major Consulting Assignments: Intel (2010 - 2011) Supported Intel's "Appup" web-based "app store" (www.appup.com), and functioned as a Technical Architect on Intel's mobile web presence (m.intel.com). Implemented the Day Communique (CQ) content management system to publish dynamic content. Technologies: Java / J2EE, JSP, HTML, IIS, JBoss, SQL Server, Windows Server, CentOS, Web Services. Visa USA (75% of time 2003 - 2010) Took responsibility for the technology of the entire Internet presence of Visa USA, and various Visa subsidiaries internationally. Led the technical teams that developed software applications for Visa, and consulted with Visa and other third-party agencies on all matters relating to software and hardware infrastructure and security. Led the team that migrated Visa's entire Internet infrastructure from Solaris, JRun and Informix to Windows Server 2008, Websphere 6.1 and SQL Server 2005. Consulting Assignments:Maxi Multimedia (A consortium of NEC Australia and Aspect Computing)Performed systems analysis/design and software development for the Electronic Systems Delivery Internet/Intranet project for the Victorian State Government. Worked in the Infrastructure Development Group to design and implement a software toolkit for application developers to facilitate secure transaction logging. The system was designed for distributed multimedia kiosks and the general web. Also participated in structured system testing and bug resolution for the Application Development Group. The Post-Graduate Diploma in Education covered the verbal, written and organizational skills necessary to effectively impart technical information to a variety of audiences.

Master's Degree

The Master's of Business Systems degree consisted of a substantial software development project and research thesis. The thesis concerned the practical application of heuristic methods (specifically simulated annealing) to solve a complex combinatorial optimization problem in resource assignment. This work led to the publication of research papers in international journals and invitations to present papers at conferences in Singapore, Australia and the USA.
